These terms are an agreement between you and Xil3 Media Ltd ("we", "us"), which provides BuildBakery at buildbakery.com, including the website, API, MCP server, bakery command-line tool and oven agent (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you use the Service for an organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm you're allowed to.
BuildBakery runs the build steps in your codebuilder.yaml on our build machines ("hosted ovens") or on machines you register ("private ovens"), signs and stores the results, and sends them where you tell it to. We may add, change or remove features. Features marked early access or beta may change without notice.
You keep all rights to your source code, recipes, build logs, artifacts and other content you give the Service ("Your Content"). You give us a limited licence to host, copy, process and transmit Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you: building, storing, delivering, showing it to you and the people you share it with, keeping backups, and keeping the Service secure. You confirm that you have the rights to Your Content and to any accounts and credentials you connect.
Don't use the Service to:
We may stop jobs and suspend accounts that do these things, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.
When you install the agent, it runs build jobs from your projects only, installs and updates what it needs (for example Tart, Xcode images, Homebrew packages, a Linux container runtime and the agent itself), and reports its status and logs to us. You're responsible for the machine, its security and its software licences, including Apple's licence terms for macOS virtual machines. You can uninstall the agent at any time.
The Service connects to services you choose, such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, App Store Connect, Google Play, Firebase, Slack, Microsoft Partner Center and your own servers and buckets. Your use of them is governed by their terms. Deliveries and publishing steps you set up can put apps in front of real users; you're responsible for what they publish.
Failure explanations, suggested recipe fixes and the MCP server for AI coding agents are tools, not guarantees: their output can be wrong. Review changes before relying on them, especially anything that signs, publishes or deletes.
You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time (info@buildbakery.com). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or leave bills unpaid. After an account is closed, its data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep builds reliable, but we don't promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that a build will succeed, or that an app will be accepted by Apple, Google or any store. Keep your own copies of your code and anything you can't afford to lose.
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, and our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and CAD $100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.
If someone makes a claim against us because of Your Content or your breach of these terms, you'll cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, to the extent the law allows.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of Ontario, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.
We may update these terms. For material changes we'll tell you by email or in the Service at least 30 days ahead; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept them.
